OK, so there isn't a lot to write about today, but I thought I'd pass along a note to any of my friendly blog readers who might be getting ready to travel.

Many of the major airlines -- pick up a paper and you'll see what I'm talking about -- have filed for bankruptcy (many will continue to do so until a tougher standard is enacted on Oct. 17).

Here's my point...do not book a flight more than 60 days in advance of travel time. If any of the airlines go under and you've booked any further out than that period of time, there is no guarantee on your ticket.
